Group Auction 15th Nov 08This is a featured page

On Saturday 15th November.
It was the groups Annual Scout Auction.
Just like last year it was being held in the Scout Hall.
Plans were put in place several months ago and now it was the
Moment of Truth.
Duruing the week running up to the big day people were delivering items that they wanted to be sold on.
The week started of slowly and it looked like we would not reach 100 items.
But at close of play on the Friday night we had 118 lots to put under the hammer.
The Explorers stayed over on the Friday night and had an early rise on the Saturday to sort out the items into the Marquee out the back.
Between 10am and 11.30am it was the Bric 'a' Brac stalls which always seems to do well.
At 12pm the Aution started.
The First lot went under the hammer and never sold(Was this a things of what it was going to be like)
Over all we only had 8 items that did not sell during the day.
After it was all over it was time to tidy up and go home (very Tierd)
The signs were that we maneged to raise over £700 during the event.
